Giftline
Giftline · a Keel app
Give your shoppers a free gift when their cart hits your number
Shopify can make a gift free. It can't put the gift in the cart, and it can't take it back out. That's the whole reason this exists.
$19/month · 14-day free trial · no theme edits

Set it once and leave it
Pick the cart total, pick the product, write the line the shopper sees. That is the whole setup.

Giftline draws nothing. The gift is a normal cart line in your own theme’s markup, so there’s nothing to edit going in and nothing to clean up if you uninstall it.
Why the take-it-back-out half matters
Shopify can already discount a gift to zero on its own. What it cannot do is put the gift in the cart, or take it out again.
So a shopper adds the gift, then removes something else, and the cart drops under your threshold. The discount stops applying. The gift stays where it is, now at full price, and they check out paying for the thing you advertised as free. It happens silently, and from their side of the screen it looks like a trick.
So Giftline pulls the line the second the cart stops qualifying. If the discount ever breaks, it pulls the line rather than let you charge for it.
What it won’t do
No tiers. No gift picker. No BOGO. No progress bar in the cart.
If you want those, buy BOGOS or Monk — they’re bigger, they cost more, and they do all of it. Giftline won’t grow into that. It does one offer shape, on purpose, and that’s why it’s one screen and why there’s nothing of ours in your theme.
If you need something none of them do, I build custom apps.
Before you install anything
You might not need this. Shopify’s own Buy X Get Y discount handles the simple version for free, and it’s the right answer for some stores. Here are all three ways to run the offer and what each one costs you.
